I am sure that like me, a lot of my fellow students are wishing they knew about this tutorial in the previous months. However better late then never. I have only watched the first four chapters and have already learned so much amazingly helpful information. There were some things that I had figured out on my own through trial and error but this tutorial will hopefully eliminate most of my future errors.
I found the section on importing videos to be informative and it was definitely new to me but I did not find it relevant to me at this time because I use a SD card to import my videos, but it is good to know for future reference. What I did find to be applicable to me was rating clips and tagging videos using key words. I think that these tools are awesome. I am not a very organized person and I tend to keep a lot of material on my computer that might not be important. When it is time to find important information I usually have to search through all the junk to find my quality material. With the clip rating tool I can rate my project so that when I am looking for my better material I can find it easier. It will also allow me to be able to find projects to delete if I run low on hard drive space. I can also tag my projects with key words which will also help me to better locate my projects when I need to. I just know these tools will help me to be more organized.
